LANDMARK X MEMORY MARK
For a small summer expo in KOKO – coffee & design Amsterdam I worked with peoples fond memories (encoutered while (ad)venturing) and turned them into landmarks.
landmark = is an orientation point in space
(often a notable geographical feature or building, and sometimes an object made by Sue)
Each person filled in a form describing in short their fond memory (what did they see, smell, what happened). This input I then turned into an abstract work. This object works as their personal
orientation point, instantly bringing them back to that a special moment in time. Just like an encouter of a typical smell, or an patch of green can bring you back to a detailed fond memory.
