Coincidental origami kite. Sometimes it is nice to let a design start from coincidence instead of drawing out and tweeking. Here as a test I made a super simple origami paper design and looked at what happened while folding. The back of an object is just as interesting as the front and so are little mistakes, like when shapes do not connect, showing a layer behind it. From here this could evolve into a flat design/ (silkscreen) printed paper (mini) kite.

A while back I was asked to design a kite for Prada, unfortunately I had to cancel as the style went to realistic English floral patterns (not my cup tea). But it did inspire me to dive into it again. 10 years ago, in 2014, me and Spitsberg collaborated on a series of all sorts of do-it-yourself building kites for kits and planes, check them here. The graphics derived from the folding and construction lines.
